Field Studies
Domestic & International Field Studies
The TCU Institute of Ranch Management coordinates tours of various agriculturally significant regions throughout the world. Due to the globalization of agricultural markets and production, international and domestic destinations are chosen each year as a focus of study. Tours are usually taken over a ten-day to two-week period and range in costs depending on each individual destination.
Trips are not limited to students or alumni of the Ranch Management Program, and are open to anyone interested in
learning more about production agriculture in diverse areas. Itineraries are designed to include several visits to farms, ranches, feedlots, dairies, markets, research centers, and many other agriculturally related operations that are of importance to each region. Students interested in traveling can possibly receive college credit for the trips depending on transferability and subject matter compatibility with their degree plan.
Typically, the Institute of Ranch Management plans and organizes one international and one or more domestic travel opportunities per year. Pictures from previous travel destinations can be accessed by clicking on the flags below. Current information on up-coming events can be found on our news page. If you would like more information or want to be put on our mailing list for upcoming plans, please contact Jeff Geider at (817) 257 - 7145 or j.geider@tcu.edu.
